Monday
– Board Motorcoach (St Henry–7:00am; Coldwater–7:15am; Celina–7:30am;
Van Wert–8:15am) and head to St. Ignace, MI where you’ll enjoy a welcome
reception at the beautiful Harbour Pointe Lodge. Dinner this evening
will be a catered Beach BBQ featuring chicken and ribs. After dinner,
you’ll be able to spend the evening by the lake enjoying the
peacefulness of a bonfire, or will be able to take the shuttle to the
exciting Kewadin Casino in St. Ignace.
Tuesday
– Our day will start off with a full continental breakfast followed by a
ferry ride to Mackinac Island. Once on the island, you’ll enjoy a
Carriage Tour and a tour of Fort Mackinac. Lunch will be served at the
well-known Grand Hotel! You’ll have time for a little shopping. Once
back on the mainland our group will be treated to a wine tasting,
complete with live music! We’ll return to the hotel for soup, salad,
and sandwiches.
Wednesday
– Our morning will begin with breakfast at the hotel. After checking
out of our rooms, we’ll head north to Whitefish Point, Lake Superior.
Here, you’ll tour the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum and Lighthouse. The
bell recovered from the 1995 Edmund Fitzgerald shipwreck is displayed in
the museum. Next we will go to downtown Sault Ste Marie where you’ll be
able to sightsee, shop and have lunch. Don’t forget to check out the
Visitor’s Center…you may even get to see a vessel pass through the
famous Soo Locks! Next, we’ll get settled into our rooms at the Sault
Ste Marie Kewadin Casino Hotel. Tonight you may try your luck in their
casino.
Thursday
–After breakfast, we’ll check out of the hotel and begin our homeward
journey. We’ll be stopping along the way at the beautiful Cross in the
Woods. We’ll arrive back home at approximately 9:00pm.
