Trip Itinerary:

Tuesday

Today will be a travel day.  We’ll be checking into a suburban Washington DC hotel.

 

Wednesday

After breakfast at the hotel (daily), we’ll meet up with our DC Step-On Guide who will show us the highlights of this beautiful city.   Included in the tour: Supreme Court Building; the NEW Capital Visitor’s Center; United States Capitol; United States Library of Congress; National World War II Memorial; Vietnam Veterans Memorial; Lincoln Memorial; Korean War Veterans Memorial; Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial; Jefferson Memorial; Air Force Memorial; and the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial Park.

 

Thursday

We’ll once again meet our DC Guide.  Included in today’s tour will be Arlington National Cemetery, Marine Corps War Memorial, and National Museum of the Marine Corps.  After dinner at a local restaurant, we’ll head to Norfolk Virginia where we will check into our hotel.

 

Friday

Today we will tour the National Maritime Center and Hampton Roads Naval Museum.  We’ll visit the Battleship USS Wisconsin (one of the largest battleships ever built.)  We’ll enjoy a narrated cruise of the Norfolk Harbor and Norfolk Naval Base aboard the Victory Rover. Tonight’s dinner buffet will be followed by the Virginia International Military Tattoo.  With 850 international performers including many of  your favorite groups from the US Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard, the Virginia International Tattoo is truly a perfect show for groups of all ages and interests.  The 2010 Tattoo will thrill with music, majesty and might!

 

Saturday

After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll begin our homeward journey arriving back around 11:00pm.
